Venti Firefox

I drove up to Nashua this morning to pick up Dan whose car unfortunately died this week. I offered him a ride to NY for the holidays on my way to NJ. We went to the Starbucks there after I picked him up. I had on a Firefox t-shirt and the guy behind the counter told me he was using Firefox since 0.2.

It took me 11.5 hours before I got to my parents' house. There was traffic and a lot of rain on the way. I drove two cars also which was interesting (yay, I love manuals). Anyway, Christmas stuff now. I will probably be online again on the 26th.

Merry Christmas, all.

Two out of three ain't bad

It started snowing a few minutes ago. I'm still not quite sure what I feel about that. I missed the first two snows here since I was in CA. It's been quite some time since I've seen snow. Interesting....

Blizzard is my hero

Okay, seriously. How bad ass is this? Let's have some details and better crappy digital camera photos, please!

And while our protagonist is burning rubber all across America, I am taking a crack at figuring out what's busted in nsFontMetricsPango in his stead. So far, not much luck in figuring out the real problem, though I have come up with a hack solution that looks as if it spawned from Mordor:

Blockers fixed

Well, my sleep schedule is hosed again. On the plus side, my blockers are taken care of, and I'm working on some layout related code again.

Ear Sex

I've been playing quite a bit of piano this week during my little breaks and am quite pleased with my progress. I've spent most of the time learning Maple Leaf Rag, and have gotten a passable performance down, but still need to work on it. Maybe by the end of this week it'll be solid. I've also started playing the second movement of Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata at Dan's request. Not really that difficult, but my expressiveness during play can be improved. Not to mention, I still need to finish getting down the first movement of it.

HTTP 402

Finally, ThinkGeek should consider adding HTTP 402 to their current selection.
