S is for

Saturday. And Spending time working on bugs. And s390. And suck. And a few other words.

Um, I'm back in the Boston area. In case anyone is doing anything later...

WTF?

I woke up this morning to see 1393 spam messages in my inbox. Unsure why the sudden rush; normally I only get about 100 spams a day. Weird.

es-three-ninety

I've been having way too much "fun" with s390s in the last few days. That is all.

Close Encounters of the Moz Kind

Went to the Mozilla Foundation. Saw familiar faces, hung out, worked a bit. Then went over to get some real Mexican food at La Fiesta (not the fake stuff they feed us in Boston). As we entered, redfive was leaving and I chatted with him for a bit before he headed out. We then went on over to California Billiards to shoot a few racks of 9-ball, and we got placed on the table next to jag and danm. They had apparently also gone to La Fiesta and had left a few minutes before we got there. How weird is that? Good times!

Firefox 1.0 Fedora RPM

Yep. It'll be in the official places soon, but for now you can use my RPM which should work fine both on FC3 and rawhide. The RPM includes both the GNOME file picker and stock icon support.

Monday

Hmm, today is Monday. That means the Korean BBQ place on El Camino near Lawrence is closed (thanks Rafa!). Since we were out that way, we went to eat at China Way instead, where I haven't been since the infamous night out raving in the city with Hammer. Such good times.

Introduzione...

GNOME stock icons have arrived. At participating locations near you. While supplies last.

A big thanks go to Marco for taking my patch, fixing the merge conflicts, and taking care of the last few issues I had with it, as well as creating the browser/ side of the gnomestripe theme.

Poll Dancing

Entering

Address?

...

Name?

Christopher Aillon. Here's my license.

Oh, we don't need to see that. Here's your ballot. Go right on back there.

Leaving

(to a different person) Looks like I'm done.

All right. Address and name?

... (handing the ID over)

Oh, we only check some people on the way out. You're fine, just stick your ballot in the machine to your left.

Sigh. The above is quite disconcerting to me. :-(
