Left Coasting

Just got my tickets to SJC for the middle two weeks in November. I'm craving some La Fiesta.

All Hallow's Eve Eve Eve

(...Havoc Pennington, unaware of impending doom...)
Hello, Mr. Pennington.

(...Agents slowly creep upon Mr. Pennington...)
It is purpose that created us. Purpose that connects us, that pulls us, that guides us, that drives us. It is purpose that #defines us, and binds us. We are here because of you, Mr. Pennington. To try and take back what you took from us....

(...Battle ensues...)
...Purpose!

Brilliant!

So the past few weeks have been busy. Attended the Boston GNOME Summit where I met sgarrity -- really cool guy. I also had tons of meetings, got entrenched in the final weeks of the FC3 cycle, spending one day at the office until 4:30am (and I was not the person there the latest) and working at home the following day until 3:30am. Oh and then there was the ALCS.

Anyway, cool things should be happening soon.

I did manage to find a decent Mexican restaurant yesterday in Boston, surprisingly. It's called Casa Romero, though you normally need reservations. I was lucky that yesterday everyone was at Fenway and I managed to get seating without one. Still, it doesn't beat La Fiesta. Hmm, I need to go back to CA sometime soon.

Oh, and one more note. Marco is wicked awesome.

Now That's Art

Hahaha. So, it looks like one of my desktop images got posted to fedora-destkop-list by British Dave. I totally did not expect that.

Anyway, that photo was taken on Labor Day and yes, he poured that much foam. I had the original idea and even gimped up the original image which then got touched up by someone else. For added fun, make sure to get a t-shirt.

It's a free ride. When you've already paid.

So, Firefox 0.10.1 got released yesterday. With the same binary and sourceball file names as 0.10.0. Which is highly confusing and annoying.

To make matters worse, issue 92 which is announced as fixed in 0.10.0 really isn't. The fix was checked in on Thursday. My Fedora Rawhide RPMs have also had the fix since Thursday. Isn't it ironic? One of the fixes I had to rush to plug in 1.4 because of (IMO) a premature announcement still isn't fixed in the upstream Firefox release.

Anyway, this is just fair warning to all those who thought this bug was fixed in PR1 for Linux (doesn't affect Mozilla or Thunderbird) otherwise. It's not, unless you are using one of my Rawhide RPMs. Be wary when you do things like middleclick paste something from a website into a terminal.
