XUL Support

I patched shared-mime-info to add support for XUL. Thanks Jonathan for checking it in for me. I'm adding the MimeType entries to the mozilla and firefox .desktop files, but we'll need to push a new shared-mime-info before you can actually open a .xul file from nautilus. Still, it's a step in the right direction.

Sex and Candy

I just backported and pushed the GTK+ File Chooser patches into rawhide. Find them for mozilla, firefox, and thunderbird tomorrow, or at my people page until they get pushed in the morning.

Ooh, shiny!

I just built new firefox RPMs into rawhide. ChangeLog follows. They will be available to the masses tomorrow morning. Or if you are impatient, grab them from my people page.

The Battle of Rheet

Went to Flat Top Johnny's last night with a bunch of GNOME guys. Somehow I ended up dueling blizzard in the Red Hat Mozilla Chris Battle™. Ironically, it was the worse of the three games I played all night, but I managed to win that game. I played Matthias twice and lost both times with 8-ball scratches. Shot of the night: I threaded the 8-ball and a stripe in one of the games against Matthias to split two solids kissed against each other. One went into the side pocket, the other barely missed the oppposite side pocket.

File Chooser

I spent some time over the last few days getting some of the remaining issues with the file chooser plugged. I will be adding it to my firefox and mozilla RPMs in rawhide along with a few other bug fixes.

Package Updates

I just pooped out a ton of package updates over the past few days. All of my GNOME packages are now at 2.8 or later in rawhide and should be available tomorrow. I also pushed out some packages for FC2 and RHEL.

Back to the Future

I just noticed that Eric Meyer's blog is confused about what time zone it is in. Take the following as an example.

...

Not really a big deal, but it does cause anyone who posts four hours after him to get misplaced in the various feeds.

Too Much Information

I'm slightly peeved that the known vulnerabilities page got updated without giving vendors any chance to push updates. Its been policy in the past to give some notice. On the bright side, at least I already have insomnia.

Sleepless in Boston

I'm unsure what the deal is, but I can't seem to be able to sleep well in Boston. I've slept in quite a few places this year, including New Orleans, Reno, Palo Alto, Ottawa, Central Jersey, Chicago, Minneapolis, and somewhere in Kentucky visiting a friend. Were I to visit Seattle, I'm sure I would be fine there as well. I've not had a problem catching Z's anywhere except here which sucks because I live here now.
